Food is a basic human right

On this Giving Tuesday, I am thinking of those in our state who are struggling with food insecurity this time of year. And with winter approaching, it's about to get even harder for many of our Oregon neighbors.

So I cannot think of a better way to take action on this Giving Tuesday than by supporting the Oregon Food Bank.

One of my top priorities as a public servant has been to ensure that every Oregonian can put food on the table.

But with families facing hunger and food insecurity right now, we can't only invest in long-term solutions — we need to show that we're there with immediate resources to support people this holiday season and beyond.

The Oregon Food Bank understands that food is a basic human right, and it has the capacity to provide nutritional access across all of our state's communities. Will you join me on this Giving Tuesday to help further its mission, strength, and determination?

Let's recommit to being a lifeline for those in our communities.
