End the outdated prohibition on hemp!

Hemp is an important agricultural product. It’s used for everything from nutritious foods to biofuels, and America consumes more than anywhere else in the world.

But commercial production is currently banned by the federal government.

Why? Because decades ago, hemp was confused with its cousin – the marijuana plant – even though it has no psychoactive properties. It’s an outdated prohibition, and it’s time to roll it back.

We’re calling on Congress to end the ban and stand with America's farmers. Add your name and help us make the case!

To the U.S. Congress:

Decades ago, the farming of industrial hemp was banned by the federal government. It’s a valuable agricultural product, and it’s time to end the ban.

We ask that you end the hemp prohibition and support America's farmers. Let’s get it done!
