Protect animals and restore animal welfare reports!
Less than a month after taking office, the Trump administration removed animal cruelty reports from the USDA website. Inhumane puppy mills and shady breeders were freed to operate without public oversight.
Puppy lovers and decent people across America fought back. Thanks to thousands of grassroots supporters, some animal welfare reports are back up on the USDA website – temporarily.
However, unless Congress acts, there's nothing to stop the Trump administration from once again covering up information about animal abusers.
Now, Congress must act to make real animal cruelty reporting permanent, because Americans have the right to know if they’re adopting an animal from an abusive environment.
Enough is enough. To protect animals from abuse, consumers deserve full transparency from the USDA.
