They’re not even hiding it anymore

Trump's billionaire Commerce Secretary, Howard Lutnick, just said the quiet part out loud.
During an interview, he said that seniors shouldn't complain if their Social Security checks get disrupted, and that anyone who does is a fraudster.
Yep, you read that right.
They're not even trying to hide it anymore. Trump and Musk are coming for Americans' hard-earned Social Security checks.
Social Security checks have gone out each month like clockwork since the program was established in 1935. For the first time in its history, there's a very real possibility that seniors won't get their checks on time once Trump and Musk take hold of the agency.
This is another out-of-touch billionaire in Trump's inner circle who doesn't even know what Social Security means to the millions of seniors who rely on it. They rely on it to pay rent, buy groceries, pay for prescription medications, and retire with dignity.
Not to mention, this is YOUR money. This is money that you have paid into the Social Security program paycheck after paycheck, year after year, with the guarantee that you'll get it back when you retire. And now Trump and Musk want to take away YOUR money.
There's no doubt in my mind that gutting Social Security is a top priority for Trump and Musk. Just last week it was reported that Musk sent one of his closest advisors, a private equity manager, to head up DOGE operations at the Social Security Administration (SSA). It says a lot about Musk's priorities that he sent twenty-year-olds to the Department of Education and USAID while sending his closest advisor to head things up at SSA.
But here's something else I know: I've never seen our movement more fired up and ready to fight back. And when you come for seniors' Social Security, you'll have hell to pay.
Call your members of Congress, call the organizations you're a member of, and tell them to put pressure on Congress to fight back. The time to get loud is now.
