Once again, the ACA is on the line
It's happening again.
As he steamrolls toward his party's nomination for President, Donald Trump has decided he wants a familiar pledge to be part of the GOP's platform for 2024: repealing the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
With the help of his Republican buddies in Congress, Trump spent the first year of his presidency focused like a laser on dismantling the ACA. In the end, the law's survival came down to a one-vote margin in the Senate.
I remember the days of 2017 well, and grassroots supporters like you were essential in pushing back against Republicans' plans to rip healthcare coverage away from tens of millions of Americans. If Trump and Republicans in Congress want to make 2024 a fight about healthcare, we're going to be ready for them.
It's been nearly 14 years since the ACA was passed and signed into law. Nearly 14 years of building a better, more humane, and sustainable healthcare system.
Millions more insured, countless lives saved – all thanks to our tireless organizing and hard work. That matters to me. A lot.
That's why I need folks like you with me once again.
We know that if Trump and his Republicans take back power, they'll move mountains to rip healthcare away from millions of American families. Trump admitted that himself this week.
The ACA is on the ballot next year, and we need to make sure that it prevails once again.
Thank you,
Ron
