A year later, delivering for American families.
One year ago this week, after decades of hard work, the Inflation Reduction Act was signed into law. I remain extremely proud of this groundbreaking legislation and the role I played in securing key priorities for American families and workers.
The Inflation Reduction Act was a once-in-a-generation investment in securing our nation's clean energy future and bringing down drug costs for seniors.
In the months since its passage, we've seen countless headlines about the resurgence of domestic manufacturing, investment in clean technology, and creation of good-paying red, white, and blue jobs.
Simply put, the Inflation Reduction Act is delivering for American families and workers.
But this historic win didn't happen overnight or by accident. When climate efforts in the Senate stalled, I stuck with it.
As Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, I shed light on how the drug pricing system is broken from top to bottom.
And every time a billionaire bragged about not paying their fair share, I proposed real solutions.
But I didn't win these fights alone. I've always said progress starts at the grassroots and works its way up. It's because of the strength and commitment of our grassroots movement – and your role in it – that these victories came to be.
You know as well as I do that while these victories are a huge step in the right direction, there's more work to be done. That's why I'm continuing the fight for progress on everything from reproductive rights, to data privacy, affordable housing, and so much more.
We've seen what's possible with a Democratic majority in the Senate, and it's never been more important that we continue to build on that work. That starts with protecting and expanding our Democratic majority in the Senate and making sure Republicans don't return to power.
So I'm asking, will you join me in the fight to expand our Senate majority with a donation today?
More soon,
Ron
