Everyone should be able to vote the Oregon Way
Every time I come home to Oregon, I see democracy thriving. Every time I vote, it's clear why: our state votes entirely by mail.
Oregon was the first state to adopt vote-at-home, and we've been going strong for over 25 years. Each election, our state has some of the highest voter turnout rates in the country, because we make it so accessible.
Voting at home is safe, easy, and efficient.

With vote-by-mail, there's no need to wait in long polling lines, no need to pay for child care, and no taking off time from school or work. It allows every American that wants to make their voice heard in our democracy to do so. That's also why Republicans have spent years trying to crack down on mail-in voting.
But the American people know better. During the COVID-19 pandemic, millions of voters got to vote the Oregon Way: from the safety and comfort of their own homes. Now it's time to make it permanent for all federal elections, and I have the legislation to get it done.
Vote-by-mail is the most democratic way to conduct elections, and everyone deserves access. That's why I've put forth a plan to make voting at home the law of the land in all 50 states.
We've all heard the horror stories of voters waiting in line for hours to cast their ballots. And more often than not, those barriers are highest in underserved communities.
Here's the deal: voting shouldn't be the hardest thing you do all day. But Republican lawmakers and state legislatures are hellbent on making it harder for you to exercise your constitutional right to participate in our democratic process.
We must fight back against the rampant voter suppression that threatens our democracy. And the best solution is voting at home.
Together we can take this essential step toward a brighter, more democratic future.
