I’ve been asked this question about Roe a lot. Here’s my answer

The Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade, effectively ending the right to a safe and legal abortion in America.

We need to talk about where we go from here. Millions of Americans are rightfully scared about what comes next. The days, weeks, and months ahead won't be easy, but there are a few things we can do right now to help women living in states that have already restricted abortion access in light of the Supreme Court's ruling.

Organizations across the country are mobilizing to help knock down financial and logistical barriers for those seeking abortion access, and I'd like to ask for your help in funding this critical mission. These organizations are helping women nationwide with travel costs if they live in a state that has restricted abortion access, child care, transportation, and so much more.

Please use this online tool to help locate and donate to your local abortion fund to ensure women get the health care they need.

In the meantime, there is much more work to do on the road to November. It has never been more important to expand a Democratic majority in the House and Senate that will do whatever it takes to codify Roe into law and protect abortion access for generations to come.

That includes taking to the streets in protest, registering new voters across America up until Election Day, and sending a message that Donald Trump's allies have taken their extremism way, way too far. That means we have to hold a commanding majority in the Senate.

I know the coming weeks and months are uncertain for so many of us, but together we're going to build a generational response to protect our constitutional rights for years to come. And that includes ensuring our grassroots campaigns from Oregon to Washington D.C. and everywhere in between have the organizational resources they need to win, and win big.

This fight won't be easy, but I'm in it all the way. Please join me.
