The scary thing no one is talking about

If the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade, it will have far-reaching consequences for half of America.

People across the country will lose access to abortion or have it severely limited as Republicans pursue a nationwide abortion ban.

Anti-choice extremists aren't just seeking to ban abortions; they're trying to criminalize them. And Republicans are already working on grotesque measures to punish health care providers and patients seeking care.

And believe it or not, it gets worse. If Roe is overturned, a woman's private information – from researching birth control online to bringing a phone to the doctor's office to entering information into a period tracking app – could be used as evidence to prosecute them.

This should alarm us all. If the Supreme Court follows through and overturns Roe, every digital record could be weaponized to control women's bodies and criminalize people for seeking abortions.

We need to do everything in our power to ensure that reproductive rights are protected now and into the future.

That's why I'm working to pass legislation that would stop shady data brokers from becoming a deadly tool for far-right prosecutors who want to stick their noses into huge databases of Americans' private information. Including persecuting a woman for getting essential reproductive health care, including an abortion.

Let me be clear: this is a once-in-a-generation fight for the fundamental right to live your life free of government intrusion. I'm going to continue fighting tooth and nail to safeguard Americans' constitutional right to privacy once and for all.

The radical right is pressing its advantage in the courts, working all the angles to threaten women's bodily autonomy. But this movement – you and me and millions of pro-choice activists like us – must keep fighting, through every avenue, to protect every American's right to reproductive health care.
