Time for billionaires to pay their fair share
This week President Biden gave his first State of the Union address. He highlighted the top priorities Democrats will continue fighting to secure — lowering health care costs, addressing the mental health crisis, tackling the climate crisis, and much more. But it's also worth zeroing in on what he said about taxes.
When it comes to our tax code, Democrats are working overtime to level the playing field for working families, while Republicans remain committed to protecting tax cheats and slashing taxes for multinational corporations. That difference will be what this upcoming election is going to be about. Chip in now and stand with Democrats and working families.
We've been here before. We know that when Republicans are in the majority, they move mountains to cut taxes for their mega-rich donors, all while hard-working Americans pay taxes out of each paycheck.
Democrats are coming together to lower the cost-of-living for American families – lower costs for health care and prescription drugs, child care, elder care, energy, groceries, household goods, community college, and so much more.
We're going to close tax loopholes for the ultra-wealthy – and fund IRS tax enforcement to ensure they have the resources they need to hold tax cheats accountable.
But we can only fix this if we're all pulling together in this fight for a Democratic majority in 2022. Chip in now, and let's get the job done.
