Our voter protection laws
We shouldn't sugar-coat anything about this: our basic democratic rights have been under attack, both in Washington D.C. and across America.
This isn't abstract at all. These are efforts by Republicans to make it more difficult (or downright impossible) for people to vote.
And it's absolutely why we have to expand our Senate majority: because so many basic democratic tenets hang in the balance.

Our latest efforts hit a snag, which was always a possibility in a chamber divided 50/50. But that is only after Mitch McConnell, Republicans, and their allies across the country have done everything in their power to disenfranchise millions of us.
From voter suppression laws in Georgia on through to the bogus Arizona "recount", Republicans are gleefully doing everything in their power to undermine our democracy.
Part of our solution, among this grassroots movement, has to be expanding our majority in the U.S. Senate. To permanently sideline Mitch McConnell and his allies, while we rebuild our democracy.
