When Donald Trump ran for president, he was asked what kind of Supreme Court justices he would nominate.
His answer, and subsequent actions, were an attack on American values. He made big promises to his far-right friends.
They wanted justices who would look to overturn a woman's right to choose. Justices who would undo the right of same-sex couples to marry. Justices who think presidents are above the law.
Enter Brett Kavanaugh, who was rushed through a partisan confirmation process in which Donald Trump's enablers actively tried to stop the Senate from doing its due diligence.
With Kavanaugh on the bench, all of our values are up for grabs. And that's especially important at a time when the president is facing inquiries into his conduct while in office, at a time when so many of our core values are under attack.
