Donald Trump is right (← not a typo!)

Donald Trump is right. There is a crisis at the border. But a wall won't solve it.

The real crisis is the Trump presidency.

The President declared a national emergency over an immigration crisis of his own making.

Thanks to this administration's bottomless inhumanity, thousands of children were wrenched from their parents' arms, and thousands more families seeking asylum and safety in the United States have been turned away or detained.

Please contribute to these nonprofit organizations working overtime to make sure children and families at the border have the care and support they need.

To be clear: the safety and well-being of these children and their families are not Trump's priorities.

I'm fighting in Congress to protect these families, but I can't do it alone. They need your help.

Our values require us to work for the safety of those fleeing hardship. Our compassion drives us to fight for the parents and children who are seeking a better life. And our humanity demands that we stand up for freedom and dignity for all people.

If Donald Trump won't do it, then we must.
